Thyroid Eye Disease (TED)

Thyroid Eye Disease (TED) is a condition that affects the eyes of people with an overactive thyroid gland. It is an autoimmune disorder that causes inflammation and swelling of the tissues around the eyes, leading to bulging eyes, double vision, dryness, redness, and discomfort. In severe cases, TED can lead to vision loss, and it requires medical attention from an ophthalmologist and endocrinologist.
